Pumpkin Spice Fat Bombs

Sick of Pumpkin Spice yet? Yeah, me neither.

That's why I put together these delicious pumpkin spice "fat bombs"...

These little energy bites aren't only delicious, seasonal treats; they can actually help you burn MORE fat!

Wait...Tasty treats that burn fat!? Go on...

The bulk of this recipe is made up of coconut, coconut oil and MCT oil. Coconut oil is largely made up of (>70%) Medium Chain Triglyceride fatty acids. This unique family of fats has been clinically shown to boost fat oxidation (i.e. fat burning) and lead to greater results of fat loss when consumed in the diet. The Fat from coconut oil, namely Lauric Acid, is also antimicrobial, and can kill dangerous bacteria in the body and gut - boosting immune function.

MCTs are directly absorbed into the blood, and boost your metabolism, burn more calories and fat, and reduce fat storage, while curbing your appetite. That’s why we think of these fats as super fuel for your cells.

MCT oil consumption can also improve your lipid profile (lower cholesterol and triglycerides) making it a great all-rounder to be including in your diet, and a super-food base, to make snacks from.

As you well know, typical baked goods and snacks are largely sugar based. These sugar based treats, will spike your blood glucose, making you hungry and insulin resistant (something which you definitely don't want) and have you constantly reaching back for another "sugar fix" and with that, a whole host of deleterious health effects.

So why don't we just switch out these crappy fake food treats, with a fat burning, nourishing and healthy alternative?

Sounds like a winner, right? Give these a whirl and let me know what you think!

Ingredients

2 cups of unsweetened shredded coconut

2 tea spoons of chia seeds

1 tea spoon of pumpkin spice mix (If you cant find see instructions below on how to make your own) 1 tea spoon of cocoa powder 1/3 cup of melted coconut oil

1 table spoon of MCT oil (optional) 1/2 tea spoon of vanilla extract 1 table spoon almond butter

1 packet of stevia (optional)

Pumpkin Spice blend:

3 tablespoons ground cinnamon, 2 teaspoons ground ginger, 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg, 1 ½ teaspoons ground allspice and 1 ½ teaspoons ground cloves. Store in a container and use on EVERYTHING. For this recipe 1 to 2 teaspoons will be plenty :)

Directions Blend in a food processor, roll into balls, place on parchment paper and freeze for 10mins to set. melt some 85% chocolate on the top and Voila. Makes about 12 bite size balls of delicious, high fat fuel that will fill you up and encourage you to burn more fat. . .just don't eat them all at once ;)

Once you have mastered this recipe, get creative with other flavors for your fat bombs.

If you make these, comment anklet me know how they turned out, I'd love to hear if you think they're as good as I do :)
