"I have spent most of my adult life on a 'diet'. I started to gain weight after my first child, although I used this as an excuse at the time, I know that wasn't the only reason I put on weight.
I had a really unhealthy relationship with food. I thought about it constantly, and when I wasn't thinking about food, I was eating it without thinking about it.
I tried every single diet out there, weight watchers, slimming world, meal replacements etc. You name it I tried it. Whilst I always had some level of success on each and every diet I tried, I always gained back the weight and more besides.
By the time I was 48 I weighed 265 lbs. It was around this time when I started to listen to the advice of Ste.
I have to admit I was very skeptical about the advice he was giving me. After years of following low-fat diets and calorie restricting, it was hard for me to accept his advice of dropping the low fat products, eating when I was hungry and ditching the idea of calorie counting.
However, I knew how passionate and knowledgable he was on this subject and so I though I'd give it a go, after all nothing else has worked for me.
Well, it's been a couple of years of listening to Ste and making changes. I have changed the way I look at food. I don't 'diet’, I just choose to follow a healthier lifestyle and eat healthy, natural foods, with an understanding of what “healthy foods” actually are.
Whilst weight loss was my initial reason for starting to follow this plan, that has just been a big bonus for me, as I now feel so much healthier, with an abundance of energy and a new zest for life.
So far I have lost 115 lbs and I feel younger and healthier in my 50’s, than I did in my 30s."
